We reached out to our friends at Allison's Bakery to create these delicious ready-to-prepare cookies. We hope you love baking these as much as we loved creating them. Happy nesting!
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup white sugar
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- 1 ½ cups rolled oats
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
WHAT YOU NEED:
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened (1/2 cup)
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
- Beat your softened butter until smooth and creamy, about two minutes.
- Use a spoon to scoop the sugars out of the jar and add to the butter. Beat for 2 minutes.
- Add vanilla and egg. Beat for 30 seconds.
- Scoop the flour mixture into the bowl and mix on low until just combined.
- Dump the oats and chocolate into the bowl and mix on low until fully combined.
- Place your bowl in the fridge, while your oven pre-heats to 375 F.
- Once your oven is preheated, take the dough out and shape into golf-ball sized dough balls, placing about 3 inches apart. Makes about 24 cookies.
- Bake for 9 minutes until golden brown around the edges. Let cool on the cookie sheet. Enjoy!
