Allison's Bakery Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

We reached out to our friends at Allison's Bakery to create these delicious ready-to-prepare cookies. We hope you love baking these as much as we loved creating them. Happy nesting!

 

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup white sugar
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened (1/2 cup)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

 

DIRECTIONS:

  • Beat your softened butter until smooth and creamy, about two minutes. 
  • Use a spoon to scoop the sugars out of the jar and add to the butter. Beat for 2 minutes.
  • Add vanilla and egg. Beat for 30 seconds.
  • Scoop the flour mixture into the bowl and mix on low until just combined.
  • Dump the oats and chocolate into the bowl and mix on low until fully combined. 
  • Place your bowl in the fridge, while your oven pre-heats to 375 F. 
  • Once your oven is preheated, take the dough out and shape into golf-ball sized dough balls, placing about 3 inches apart. Makes about 24 cookies.
  • Bake for 9 minutes until golden brown around the edges. Let cool on the cookie sheet. Enjoy!
